Today I just spent most of my time reading my old blogs.

I started around 2006(?) and I was amazed on how I was able to write those blogs.

I realized also that my last post was sometime in 2013.

Did I become so lazy write or just no time at all?

Not sure... but what I know is that I missed writing.

MY PASSION
by Travis Cottrell

You alone are my passion forever.
Song of my soul,
Desire of my heart.
You alone are my passion, my treasure.
I love You for all that you are.
To the ends of the earth I will follow.
There’s nothing that I will not do.
You alone are my reason for living;
Jesus my passion is You.
Jesus my passion is You.
You alone are my passion forever.
Song of my soul,
Desire of my heart.
You alone are my passion, my treasure.
I love you for all that You are.
To the ends of the earth I will follow.
There’s nothing that I will not do.
You alone are my reason for living.
Jesus my passion is You.
Jesus my passion is You.
My Life.
My Love.
My God.
You are my Life.
My Love.
My God.
My Life.
My Love.
My God.
My Life.
My Love.
My God.
To the ends of the earth I will follow
There’s nothing that I will not do.
‘CauseYou alone are my reason for living
Jesus my passion is You.
Jesus my passion is You
My Life.
My Love.
My God.
You are My Life.
My Love.
Everything I do
Everything I have
Every breath I breathe
Everything I do is all for You.

Congratulations Aiah!

The President's Award for Educational Excellence award recognizes academic success in the classroom.

To be eligible for the President's Award for Educational Excellence, students at each award level (elementary, middle, or high school) must meet the requirements outlined below:

A. Individual Criteria

To be eligible for the award, students must earn a grade point average of 90 on a 100-point scale, (an A on a letter scale or a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale). When computing grade point averages at the respective award level, only the years at that level are to be included through the fall semester of the exiting grade.

Note: Elementary schools should not include K-3 in their computations.

B. School Criteria/Standards

Each school may also establish standards for the award that reflect a 90 percent level or higher on the traditional grading scale.

This category of the award enables school personnel to use new assessment and evaluation tools in developing award criteria at their school and apply the criteria fairly to all students.

The primary indicators of excellence must be based on academic achievement. School personnel may also consider, as part of the criteria, activities in which a student demonstrate high motivation, initiative, integrity, intellectual depth, leadership qualities and/or exceptional judgment. They may also require student essays and outstanding attendance, but these activities must bear some relationship to the academic performance of a student.

C. Additional Criteria

In addition to A or B, schools should use one or more of the following criteria to determine selected students:

1. State Tests and Nationally-Normed Achievement Tests: High achievement in reading or mathematics on state tests or nationally-normed tests. The school may consider college admissions examinations for seniors, for example the SAT or ACT.

OR

2. Recommendations from a teacher plus one other staff member:

  • One recommendation should reflect outstanding achievement in courses such as English, mathematics, science, history, geography, art, foreign language, and any other courses that reflect a school's core curriculum. This judgment should be supported by tangible evidence of results on teacher-made tests, portfolio assessments, or special projects.
  • The second recommendation from a school staff member should address: involvement in community service or co-curricular activities including tutoring other students and/or demonstration of creativity and achievement in the visual and performing arts.

The school principal has final authority to determine which students receive this award.

Q & A Between Two Greatest

"Were you ever been worried?", asked by Dale Carnegie.

"No. I believe God is managing affairs and He doesn't need any advice from me.

When God is in-charge everything will work for the best in the end.

So what is there to worry about?", replied by Henry Ford.

Cooperate With The Inevitable

"God grant me this serenity to accept the things that I cannot change...
courage to change the things I can...
and the WISDOM to know the difference."

- Reinhold Niebuhr

God,
Grant me the serenity;
To accept the things I cannot change;
The courage, to change the things I can;
And the wisdom, to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
As it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
If I surrender to His Will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him
Forever and ever in the next.

Praise You In This Storm

I kept myself silent while others struggle and cry.
There's nothing I can do more than help and pray.
Trust and hope everything will be fine.

PRAISE YOU IN THIS STORM
by Casting Crown

I was sure by now,God, that You would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
and it's still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.

Chorus:
And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
and raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can't find You
and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away

Chorus

I lift my eyes onto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes onto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth

Years had passed still you are there
Special occasions and life changing events
Built by workers unknown to men
Structures resistance past and present

As a child grew up seeing you
Knowing his creator always in view
Meditation and prayers in a day or two
Coming closer to the KING the boy knew

UNDER PRESSURE

Get a quick bite!
Get a quick ride!

Everything should be done quick!
Hurry, hurry doing things sick!
I am about to retire,
I am about to quit!

This generation of hurries and hassles
Everyone too busy handling their puzzles

Oh no... no you won't
Get my time to do your work!
It's just that I got mine
Your's are you to mind

Urgent, urgent
I starting to hate the word urgent.
Do you care to pause?
Just a moment to sort.

Sigh...

Sorry my friend for being rude
I didn't mean not to help you
And I apologize for my mood.

What was that again that you asked?

MIRACLE

When you witness a transformation of heart - that's miracle.

And you will witness a lot of these miracles when you do God's business - taking care of His people.

As He calls you for service, He wants you to be a living-witness of His miracles.

Thanks Chapter 1 & 6 for the opportunity... and also for the gift... really appreciated!
Thank you Lord.

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY

Birthday, birthday
Everyone greets because it's my brithday
It becomes special when people smile
Greetings during the morning shine

Another year passed
Another year ahead
Another set of happiness
To balance the worries and troubles ahead

Thank you, Dear Father
For this life
As I celebrate mine
My life and my time

Youthful thoughts more than two
Will you come and play again with me too?
For I come to see a brighter you
Dancing in the rain on barefoot

Have you seen the sun?
So bright up in the sky
Beams of light
Smiling until night

Done with the storm
Rockbottom they called it
Devastated, disappointed
Frustrated, almost quitted

But years had passed
You must get up!
Don't be a slave of the past

Come my friend as we dance once again
In a tuneless music of our everyday life
Whether the sun comes or not
What matters that we can dance

Just Preparing for... 100% PURE

There is a great challenge out there… and we cannot ignore it. We need to make a stand. There’s no neutral side… its either you’re for GOD or against Him.

Ignoring is not being neutral… it is being against GOD.

The more I serve Him, the more I know Him and understand His ways.

Thank you Lord.

INFORMATION OVERLOAD!!!

Everybody wants everything online. Encyclopedia, newspapers, magazines, tv shows, radio shows... name it! Everythings online! Even daily scriptures and bible readings are now online.

And that's not all. There are several tools that allow you to view all your online subscriptions in one website, alerting you every minute of new posts and articles. Whew! That's a huge amount of information.

Then suddenly, you realize that you cannot identify which is which.... from what is something good to read and from what are lousy bits of information. And you came to a point that everything you see online are just a bunch of letters and characters. So boring... loss of interest.

Then you go back to basic...

You open your bible...

Read a scripture...

... and say a prayer.

That's enough information for the day.

TODAY IS MY MOM’S BIRTHDAY

Happy Birthday Nanay!

I heard your voice just now

When I call home to greet you

A special and happy day

To you my mother for your birthday

We talked about how it was

Your life now I know you enjoy the most

With your friends and business matters

You’re blessed in life with cause

We talked while Nathan sleeps

Beside me having a deep breathe

It seems its my turn now

To look after a child

Oh dear mother

Thank you

For the love

With this love I now share

To my family

Our family gave me a perfect definition for love

And for this, I gave it to my family too.

THE BEST THING OF BEING A DAD

The best thing of being a dad is that you realized how much your parents had loved you.

Nathan just turned 13-month old. He now got a lot of tricks which really make everyone laugh and be amused with him. He learned a lot really! To whom? I don’t know exactly.

But you might not believe me, I think I learned a lot from him than he learned from me. Yes, its true.

Taking care of him made me realize that how fragile and much attention needed this little baby requires. As much as possible you don’t want him to get hurt or anything that will make him irritated, or even cry. Its hard to know the reason of every cry he made, with or without tears. You really need to spend time with him to know and understand what he wants.

I wonder how many parents out there spend time with their kids. Or rather how much time they spend with their kids.

I know someday Nathan will have friends, and there will come a time that he what to spend most of his time with them than with me and Irene. When this time comes, I will let him enjoy it and trust that he will still come home with us…. a result of spending much time to him now.

SERVING THE LORD

As a student leader, serving means having a leadership power. I always strive for position in any of the organization that I been too. I had the confidence that I will always be in the officer role because of my leadership ability. For me, leadership is serving … leadership means you’re in control.

But God changed my views. He showed me that serving Him does not mean having control over His people but rather be a role model for them. Because of this you become a leader… as they follow your righteousness.

Serving God also is not about your action… but your intentions. We serve him because we want to take part of His plan of Salvation. He will use you for His action… and this is what we call evangelization.

“Serving the Lord is not about you having control but rather your willingness to the Will of the Lord”- Tito Tony Meloto

TRIALS ARE NOT TRIALS AT ALL

We usually say that whenever there’s a problem, or someone is in deep trouble, that “don’t worry God is testing you”. Or is HE?

This is what I think about it, before we say that it’s a test from God let’s check first if we really did what right thing expected from us. Sometimes what we thought a TEST is really a result of what we did wrong.

After we free ourselves from wrong doings then we can now say that our trials are tests from God.

WE ARE JUST PASSING THROUGH

You might had heard this before, if not most of the time: Our life on earth is just temporary. But indeed it is true. We are just passing through to this life in order to prepare for the real life -- which is eternity

Imagine the vegetables that you are about to cook. How much time do you spend to check the freshness of the vegetables, not to mention the procedure of washing it and selecting the good ones out from the bad ones. Our life here on earth is just a mere process of preparation.

If you are a newly hired employee of a multinational company, you will first undergo a thorough orientation and training before you start your actual job. They want to make sure that before you start your work, you know by heart everything about the company and to ensure that you will work according to their procedure. The same thing with our life as God wants us to prepare “the work” waiting for us in His kingdom.

I remember my first job interview. I am fully aware that they require someone who had related experience before. Although I know that I am not qualified as per their work experience requirement, my interest pushed me to pursue to apply. By the way, the job was salesperson in a music store! I imagine myself playing all the musical instruments that on that store all day long.

Right on the very first question, I was jumbling my words trying to connect it to what my nervous mind was thinking. It was the famous “Tell me something about yourself?”. I won’t tell what my answers are because until now whenever I remember it my skin hairs rise up in embarrassment. It’s all because I am not prepared!

Performers spend most of their time practicing for their next act. They just want to make sure that when the real performance comes they can portray perfectly their act. If you are going to ask them, they surely enjoyed their time during practices even with trials and challenges. But there’s nothing more worth it during the actual presentation itself.

Our life here on earth is just a preparation for our real life with our Creator.

We Are All Travelers

Framed in some hotel room, these verses I found so inspiring:

"We are all travelers. From 'birth till death' we travel between the eternities. May these days be pleasant for you, profitable for society, helpful for those you meet, and a joy to those who know and love you best."

We don't know how long we are going to travel. What matters more is in which direction you are travelling.

Just in case you had decided, focus on it until you reached it. Each journey is not pleasant as it seems to be. But don't worry, everythings will be alright when you're there. AS PROMISED!

Why Black?

Black is the color of darkness.
Darkness exist in the absence of light.

We usually associate black with dark and evil, the opposites of light and good.

In life, dark period means great sorrow and pain.

Without its opposite, we cannot appreciate the other. Therefore the existence of both are essentials.

Black makes the white colored text more important.

And also, I just learned from a someone that using black on your screen saves more power.

See, there are more reason why we need to understand its existence.

Starting...

time flies
days passed
everything's gone
only memory remains

whether happy or sad
joy or pain
only thing I know

things happen for a reason

write to remind myself
of the past,
the learnings from it

write to inspire...

I write about how great HE is!
